At GCC, we believe we are called to serve those in need, no matter where they are.
We want to be a local church with a global heart.
Through the generosity of Glendora Community Church—supporting Nazarene Compassionate Ministries and the World Evangelism Fund—the Nazarene Church is able to bring hope, healing, and the Gospel to people everywhere. Here is some of the incredible work being accomplished because of you.
MIDDLE EAST CRISIS RESPONSE
SHECHEM CHILDREN’S HOME
The Shechem Children’s Home is a short-term assessment center for children survivors of online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC). This is a form of human trafficking where images or videos of children performing sexual acts are sold over the internet. It is a growing problem globally and in the Philippines, where Shechem is located.

Nazarene Bright Start Preschool & Ministry Center
Beginning in 2013 committed team members from GCC and partnering Churches have worked together to support the Dangriga Belize Church of the Nazarene by repairing the current Church Building and construction of a new modern Preschool and Ministry Center. The Preschool was completed and opened to new students in September 2024. The second level Ministry Center is progressing, with additional work teams planned for 2025. Opening of the Ministry Center is expected in December of 2025
Support for the ongoing needs of the Preschool in Dangriga and the completion of the Ministry Center can be donated directly to Starfish Children’s Outreach or to Belize Missions at GCC. Please contact Belinda Smith at smith@starfishoutreach.org for additional information or visit the Belize project website at starfishoutreach.org - click on the registration tab for more information.

Guatemala
Our church’s missionary, Matt Bolt, on the ground in Guatemala lives in the seminary that was the very first buildings built with Alabaster Offerings. He has had 18 teams this summer. They worked on 18 churches. The teams held VBS for children and walked in the communities and prayed and spoke with many villagers. Matt learned a lot more about welding and was frequently at the highest point in the roof building trusses into place. The Lord helped him pivot his plans when, unexpectedly the student nurse team from Poin Loma need to leave their site in Jamaica and come to Guatemala to serve. Matt and others outfitted a truck to serve as mobile dental office to serve Guatemalan communities. It has been a busy, God lead time. Please continue to pray for God to be glorified in Guatemala.
ALLIANCE STAMP MINISTRY
We will begin collecting used/canceled stamps to donate to the Alliance Stamp Ministry. This ministry trims and sorts the stamps before selling to wholesalers (who then sell to collectors). Money made from these sales is used to support the work of missions. Please place your used stamps in the designated box in the Narthex. What a simple way to support God’s work around the world!
